This classic Italian-style rum cake is perfect for any special occasion. Its simple, yet elegant design makes for a delicious centerpiece with just the right amount of flair.
This cake is 3.5" high. The 6-12" sizes are round, and the slab sizes are rectangular. It has one layer of vanilla custard cream and one layer of chocolate custard cream.
1/2 Slab = 14" X 10"
3/4 Slab = 14" X 14"
Full Slab = 21" X 14"

I ordered a rum cake while we were visiting Toronto to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. He is from Chicago and loves cannoli cakes. This was a great stand in for the cannoli cake. Very moist, lots of rum. Wonderful taste.
A bit more rum would be nice thank you but otherwise very good cake.

Cake was well done to my request. Everything tasted fresh, though the chocolate custard layer lacked good flavour. I am an Italian kid from College street Little Italy and grew up with these tastes and have had desserts from travels and my own baking as experience. My favourite approach is to have a cake that is "booze-y" like a good Baba or that peach shaped dessert pastry and plenty of custard.
I've been coming to Tre mari for well over 30 years. The italian cake has been one of my favorites for so many years, I buy this cake for every occasion. It's always done right, and very delicious. Even tho I live an hour and a half now..I still make my way down to Tre Mari!
