For 65 years, Tre Mari has been part of St. Clair West, and this milestone was our chance to celebrate with all of you.
Our celebration started with a towering cake display in the window, a sweet invitation to everyone passing by on St. Clair to join us.
Guests lined up for our .99¢ birthday specials for a slice of pizza, fresh cannolo, mortadella, and classic Vienna bread, priced as a throwback to the early days of Tre Mari, when these staples were just cents on the dollar.
The laneway came alive with long tables of food and friends. We shared free mignon ricotta cannoli and espresso, alongside platters of meats and cheeses, polenta, focaccia, and pizza fresh from the oven, and fresh fruits that brought everyone together.
With a playlist full of classic Italian party music, DJ Pep created a soundtrack that brought generations together, from kids to grandparents, all dancing side by side throughout the afternoon.
The highlight of the day was the cake cutting. We carried out a slightly smaller version of the grand window cake into the laneway, where the crowd gathered to watch. Slices were shared generously with everyone who joined the celebration.
Before the cutting, Nonna Mary delivered a heartwarming speech that reminded us what Tre Mari has always stood for, family, tradition, and community.
Many stopped by our merch table to grab the ‘Where We All Meet’ tote, our 65th anniversary special that also comes with an in-store discount perk, while little ones had fun at the face-painting station.
Guests enjoyed a trip down memory lane in our laneway photo gallery, filled with black-and-white images of Tre Mari through the years. Former employees spotted themselves in the photos, sparking laughter and stories, while Nonna Mary’s Spotify narration added her voice to the vintage photos.
